Translate

Seven languages, both ways, from models that live on the phone. It works with the aeroplane mode on, and its Android permission list is empty.

What it does

English both ways with Spanish, Italian, French, German, Dutch, Swedish and Russian — and any two of those through English
Detects the language you pasted, so most of the time there is nothing to choose
Select text anywhere on the phone and send it straight here — it comes back translated; share the result out again
Everything runs on the device: no signal, no data, no waiting on a server
Six themes and six launcher icons, from Settings

Zero permissions. The translation models are inside the app. Nothing you paste is sent anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to go.

What it can reach

This is the whole list. Android prints the same thing under Settings › Apps › Permissions once the app is on your phone, and it was not written by us — check one against the other.

Nothing	Android grants this app no permissions at all. There is nothing here for you to allow, and nothing to take away later if you change your mind about us
Internet	Absent. The permission does not exist in this app

Android 11 and up. The download is large — the language models are the app. Bought once, yours to keep: no account to make, no subscription, and no upgrade screen inside the app — the licence you buy unlocks it and every version after it.

Against the apps it replaces

Google, DeepL and Microsoft translate on their servers; their offline packs still come from an account and report usage when they can. Here the models are the app, downloaded once with it
It is a system text-selection action, so it works inside Web, Reader, Messages, anything with selectable text

Compared with Google Translate, DeepL, Microsoft Translator.
