For music you actually own. Point it at a folder and it builds the library itself — no scanning service, no account, no matching your collection against somebody’s catalogue.
It cannot reach the internet. Not “won’t” — cannot. The permission is absent, so Android refuses the connection on our behalf whether we ever wanted it or not.
This is the whole list. Android prints the same thing under Settings › Apps › Permissions once the app is on your phone, and it was not written by us — check one against the other.
