TaskRex

Type “rent every month” or “call Sam tomorrow 9am” and it lands with the date, the time and the repeat already set. Steps inside a task, a reminder on the minute, and nothing to sign into.

What it does
  • Type the task the way you would say it — “dentist next friday at 3pm”, “gym every monday”, “bins in 2 hours” — and the date, time and repeat are set for you
  • Steps inside a task, tick them off one by one
  • Reminders on the minute, with Done and Snooze on the notification; they survive a restart
  • Today, Upcoming, All and Done, grouped by day; overdue in red; priority sorts to the top
  • Lists for work, home, whatever you keep apart; swipe right to finish, left to delete, one tap to undo
  • Repeats roll forward when you tick them — rent, the bins, the plants

Nothing leaves the phone. The permission list is exactly what a reminder needs — the notification, the exact alarm to fire it, the boot broadcast to set it again, a buzz — and not a byte more. No internet permission, so your tasks cannot go anywhere.

What it can reach

This is the whole list. Android prints the same thing under Settings › Apps › Permissions once the app is on your phone, and it was not written by us — check one against the other.

NotificationsTo show a reminder when its time comes
Exact alarmsSo a reminder lands on the minute you set, not whenever Android gets round to it
Run after restartTo set the reminders again when the phone reboots
VibrateThe buzz with a reminder

Android 8.0 and up. Bought once, yours to keep: no account to make, no subscription, and no upgrade screen inside the app — the licence you buy unlocks it and every version after it.
